Module 1: Fundamentals of Electrical Safety: Introduction to electrical safety, Importance of electrical hazard awareness, Basic electrical concepts (voltage, current, resistance), Types of electrical hazards, Effects of electric shock and arc flash, Electrical safety terms and definitions, Causes of electrical accidents, Electrical safety statistics and case studies, Legal and regulatory requirements, Safety responsibilities of electrical personnel.

Module 2: Electrical Equipment and Risk Identification: Types of electrical equipment (motors, transformers, panels), Common faults in electrical systems, Identification of potential hazards in installations, Overloaded circuits and overheating risks, Earthing and bonding concepts, Insulation and grounding checks, Faulty equipment indicators, Risk analysis in electrical workspaces, Inspection procedures and checklists, Lockout-tagout (LOTO) basics.

Module 3: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Tools: Introduction to electrical PPE, Selection and use of safety gloves, Flame-resistant clothing and arc-rated suits, Use of insulated tools and testers, Safety shoes and helmets, Face shields and eye protection, Maintenance and storage of PPE, Limitations and care of protective equipment, PPE requirements for various voltage levels, Toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Module 4: Protection Systems and Devices: Fuses and circuit breakers – types and functions, Residual Current Devices (RCDs) and Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers (ELCBs), Overcurrent and short circuit protection, Surge protection devices, Ground fault protection systems, Importance of relay protection systems, Coordination of protection devices, Testing and calibration of protective equipment, Use of isolators and disconnect switches, Protection in high-voltage systems.

Module 5: Safe Work Practices and Procedures: Working near live electrical equipment, Lockout-tagout (LOTO) detailed procedure, Permit to Work (PTW) system for electrical jobs, Electrical safety in maintenance and repairs, Cable handling and routing precautions, Emergency shutdown procedures, Electrical isolation techniques, Working at heights with electrical systems, Housekeeping in electrical areas, Reporting and documentation of safety practices.

Module 6: Emergency Response and Safety Standards
