Introduction to Book Binding: Introduction, binding, planning ahead, step-by-step guide, additional folding techniques, selected resources.
Paper Card & Card Board: How to take good notes and stay on topic, how to create a note card, cardboard types, cutting tools and techniques, adhesives and joinery.
Paper Cutting: Folding and cutting, paper folded once with added details, paper cut pictures.
Binding: Saddle- stitching, perfect binding, section sewn, wire binding/spiral binding, cased-in wiro binding, pamphlet binding, cotic binding, japanese binding, screw post binding.
Stitching thread stitching by hand: Basic sewing equipment, hand stitching, the sewing machine, threading the machine, taking care of sewing machines, type of scissors, tape measure.
Gumming: The paper, pre- shrinking the paper, sizing the paper, Arabic gum, the light-sensitive emulsion, the gum mixture, exposure, processing.
