Wood Science: Wood science, construction and joinery production, veneers and plywood, particleboards and fiberboards, sawmilling and timber production, wood working machines and tools.

Woodworking Tools & Machine:  Carpentry tools, wood for carpentry work, nails, hinges and fixing material, wood work joints, doors and windows, aluminum sliding windows, glazing, slope roof and false ceiling, lamination.

Carpentry:  Introduction to wood work, preparation of lengthening joint, care and maintenance of measuring tools, care of pipe cutters and threading sets, oxygas welding techniques, welding procedures, importance of three phase wiring and its effectiveness.

Structure and Formation of Wood:  Introduction, history of wood use, structure and formation of wood, mechanical properties of wood, electrical resistance, factors affecting properties of wood, types of water in woods, wood seasoning methods.

Craft technology: Food crafts lab practice, hand embroidery lab practice, handi crafts in India, textile dyeing and printing, methods of teaching crafts, methods of teaching crafts lab practice, handi crafts lab practice.

Design Essentials: Material properties, structural wood panels, lumber design values, structural evaluation, floor framing, girder design, wall framing, conventional roof framing, gable- end wall bracing.
