Film and Video Formats: Introduction, video formats and quality, video coding concepts, the mpeg-4 and h.264 standards, mpeg-4 visual, the baseline profile, design and performance, applications and directions.
Camera Techniques and Shots: Introduction to photography, image formation properties of light and how a camera function, the transition from film to digital, understanding exposure: the exposure triangle, basic camera shots: size and angles, horizontal and vertical formats/ frames, basic digital workflow from organization and file management to output, testing and saving the presentation.
