Hospitality and Catering: Objectives, hospitality industry, components of tourism industry, factors impacting the hospitality industry, classification of hotels, guest expectations during arrival and departure, various departments of a hotel, different types of cuisines.
Human Resource Management: Objectives, concept and functions of HRM, HRM in tourism industry, human resource planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation.
Tour Packaging: Objectives, meaning and types of itinerary, steps in developing/planning a tour itinerary, background information for preparing itinerary, itinerary for GIT and fit tours, meaning and types of tour packages, package elements and deals, package tour formulation process, tour brochure designing.
Tourism Management: Objectives, concept and functions of management, role, skills and tasks of a manager, concepts and theories for motivation of tourism, leadership theories and styles, individual and group behaviour.
Supporting Operations: Objectives, the personnel and administration department, the vigilance and security department, maintenance department, finance and accounts department, the sanitation and gardening department.
