Introduction to HVAC Systems: Dissecting HVAC systems, direct- expansion (DX) versus chilled- water systems, common HVAC system types, factors that affect selection of the HVAC system.

Refrigeration and Air Conditioning: Factors affecting comfort air conditioning, basic electricity & electric motors, packaged air conditioners with water- cooled condenser, installation of window air conditioner, cooling load, special air conditioning applications, refrigeration and air conditioning controls.

HVAC Control Systems: Introduction to HVAC control systems, basics of electricity, sensors and auxiliary devices, self and system powered controls, electric controls, control diagrams and sequences, digital controls specification.

HVAC Technician: Roles and responsibilities of an HVAC technician, basic concepts of RAC and HVAC, tools and equipment, service and maintenance of HVAC system, cleaning equipment, complaint handling, evaluating and repairing electrical connections, earthing and motor issues, maintaining social diversity at work.

Electrical Systems for HVAC: Basic electrical engineering for HVAC engineers, elements of power distribution, motors & variable speed drives, electrical energy efficiency.
