Different Processes of Metal Joining: Introduction, objectives, riveting, soldering, brazing, silver soldering, fluxes, making the joint, blow pipe.

Acetylene its properties and Dissolved: Introduction, objectives, acetylene, acetylene cylinder, safety precautions, chemistry of flames.

Common Gases used in Welding: Introduction, objectives, Gases used for welding, oxygen, acetylene, hydrogen, the oxy- acetylene flame.

Defects in Welding: Introduction, objectives, external defects, internal defects, elimination of defects, slag inclusions, lack of fusion.
