Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent is required.
Objective: The Certificate in Tax Consultant program is designed for aspiring tax professionals, accountants, and finance students who want to build a career in taxation. The course equips learners with practical knowledge of Indian tax laws, GST, income tax filing, TDS, and financial advisory services.
Duration: Three Months.
How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:
Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.
Step 2: Click on the “Enroll Now” button.
Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.
Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.
Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.
Online Examination Detail:
Duration- 60 minutes.
No. of Questions- 30. (Multiple Choice Questions).
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.

Syllabus:
Module 1: Fundamentals of Taxation: Introduction to Indian taxation system, Types of taxes (Direct and Indirect), Residential status and tax incidence, Income tax slabs and rates, Heads of income overview, Basic exemptions and deductions, PAN and its importance, TDS and TCS basics, Filing due dates and compliance calendar, Overview of tax planning and avoidance.
Module 2: Income Tax – Individuals and HUFs: Income from salary, Income from house property, Income from business and profession, Income from capital gains, Income from other sources, Deductions under Chapter VI-A, Set off and carry forward of losses, Computation of total income and tax liability, Filing ITR forms (ITR-1 to ITR-4), Refunds and rectifications.
Module 3: Taxation for Businesses and Firms: Income tax for proprietorship and partnership firms, Tax audit and audit requirements, Advance tax and interest under Sections 234A/B/C, Depreciation as per Income Tax Act, Presumptive taxation under Sections 44AD/44ADA/44AE, Filing ITR for firms and LLPs, Maintenance of books and records, Tax planning for SMEs, Taxation of professionals and freelancers, Treatment of capital and revenue expenditure.
Module 4: GST (Goods and Services Tax): Overview of GST Act and structure, GST registration and eligibility, Input Tax Credit (ITC) mechanism, Tax invoice and e-invoicing, GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, 9), Composition scheme, Reverse charge mechanism, GST on services and inter-state transactions, Penalties and late fee under GST, GST portal and compliance tools.
Module 5: Tax Compliance and Representation: E-filing and tax payment procedures, Form 26AS and Annual Information Statement (AIS), Responding to income tax notices, Rectification, revision, and appeal process, Assessment and reassessment under Income Tax, Basics of faceless assessment scheme, Representing clients before tax authorities, Professional ethics for tax consultants, Drafting replies and submissions, Digital signature and e-verification.
Module 6: Practical Training and Tax Tools: Practical filing of ITR and GST returns, Use of tax software (e.g., ClearTax, Winman, etc.), Tax computation worksheets, Preparing tax planning reports, Client onboarding and engagement process, Record keeping and documentation, Audit checklist for consultants, Tax consultancy proposal drafting, FAQs and common case studies, Building a tax consultancy practice.
