The Child Labour Act, 1986: Object and scope, prohibition of employment of children in certain occupations and processes. occupations set forth in part A of the schedule, processes set forth part B of the schedule, regulation of conditions of work of children, hours and period of work, weekly holidays, maintenance of register.

Trade Union and Industrial Relation: Introduction, union management relations, workers education, growth of trade unions and democratic settings, role of trade unions in socialist countries, occupational and economic classification of labour force.

Minimum Wages ACT, 1948: Fixation of minimum rates of wages, manner of fixation/revision of minimum wages, minimum rate of wages, payment of minimum wages is obligatory on employer, fixing hours for a normal working day, payment of overtime.

The Maternity Benefit ACT, 1961: Introduction, objectives, genesis of the act, applicability and coverage of this act, benefits and penalties of this act, restrictions on employment, right to payment of maternity benefit.

The workmen Compensation ACT, 1923:  Introduction, objectives, scope and coverage, workman, disablement, major provisions of this act, distribution of compensation, claims and appeals.

Payment of wages ACT, 1936: Object and scope, responsibility for payment of wages, wages to be paid in current coin or currency note, deductions from the wages of an employee, maintenance of registers and records.
