Social Psychology: Introduction, objectives, understanding research methods, the role of theory in social psychology, different channels of nonverbal communication, when and why do attitudes influence behaviour.
Counseling and Therapeutic Techniques: Counseling, approaches to counseling, counseling children and adolescents, counseling for couples, therapeutic counseling in various areas.
Psychological Assessment and Testing: Introduction to psychological tests and their uses, essential statistics for testing, essentials of test score interpretation, essentials of reliability, essentials of validity, essential test item considerations, essentials of test use.
Psychological Disorders and Mental Health: Notions of mental health and disorders, dimensions of psycho-social stress and coping, classification and assessment of mental disorders, nature and type of chronic physical illnesses, mental health perspective in chronic physical illnesses, national mental health programme.
Human Development and Lifespan Psychology: Introduction, objectives, newborn reflexes and newborn needs, lifespan periods, stages of development, principles of development, physical health during adulthood, mental health problems, emotional problems of childhood, social motives and behaviours, reinforcement and learning.
