Objective: The primary goal is to equip students with practical and theoretical competence in all aspects of video monitoring and integrated security management. This includes mastering CCTV system design, configuration, troubleshooting, advanced surveillance techniques, and effective incident documentation. Graduates will be prepared to manage security teams, enforce legal and ethical standards, and implement comprehensive risk mitigation strategies across various organizational environments.

Duration: Six Months.

Module 1: Fundamentals of Security & Risk Management Introduction to Modern Security Concepts, Threat and Vulnerability Assessment, Security Risk Analysis Methodologies, Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Legal and Ethical Issues in Surveillance, Principles of Physical Security Measures, Access Control Systems (ACS) Overview, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) Basics, Emergency Planning and Incident Response, Professionalism and Communication for Security Personnel.

Module 2: CCTV/IP Surveillance Technology Core Components of CCTV Systems (Cameras, Lenses, Recorders), Analog vs. IP Camera Technology Comparison, Understanding Digital Video Recorders (DVR) and Network Video Recorders (NVR), Camera Types and Selection Criteria (Dome, Bullet, PTZ, Thermal), Lens Theory: Focal Length, Aperture, and Field of View (FoV), Video Compression Standards (H.264, H.265) and Bandwidth Calculation, Illumination and Night Vision Technology (Infrared/IR), Power over Ethernet (PoE) and Cabling Standards (Cat5e/6, Coaxial), Remote Monitoring Setup and Network Configuration (IP Addressing), Basic System Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance.
