Plant Pathology: History of plant pathology, general account of plant pathology, principles of plant disease management, integrated plant disease management, plant diseases, transmission of plant viruses, blast disease of rice.

Agricultural Entomology:  Introduction, economic importance of insects, body segmentation of insect, different types of wings, reproduction in insects, insect digestive system.
