Objective: A Diploma in Karmkand is a specialized course focused on the study and practice of Hindu rituals, ceremonies, and religious duties, often known as Karma (actions or rituals) and Kand (specific sections or practices). Karmkand is a branch of Vedic tradition that deals with the performance of rituals, pujas (prayers), homas (fire sacrifices), and other religious ceremonies aimed at maintaining harmony in the personal and social life of individuals, as well as connecting with divine energies.
Duration: Six Months.

Module 1: Foundations of Karmkand: Meaning and Scope of Karmkand, Importance of Rituals in Hindu Tradition, Sources of Karmkand (Vedas, Smritis, Puranas), Role of Priest (Purohit) in Society, Different Types of Karmkand (Nitya, Naimittika, Kamya), Concept of Dharma and Karma, Eligibility and Qualifications for Performing Rituals, Basic Ritualistic Materials (Samagri), Concept of Mantra and Shloka, Significance of Fire (Agni) in Rituals.
Module 2: Ritual Procedures and Practices: Purification and Shuddhi Kriya, Sankalpa and Its Importance, Types of Puja and Methods, Daily Worship (Sandhya Vandana, Agnihotra), Japa and Havan Vidhi, Invocation and Aavahan of Deities, Arghya and Tarpana, Importance of Naivedya and Prasad, Completion of Puja (Visarjan), Do’s and Don’ts in Ritual Performance.
