Hazard Assessment: Introduction, hazard assessment, earthquake hazard, future analysis of earthquake disaster, flood hazard, flood vulnerability, flood management, fire hazard, epidemic management, road accidents, industrial hazards, nature and occurrence, risk and vulnerability analysis based on hazards.

Future Analysis of Disaster: definitions and conceptual framework, planning as institutional assessment of disaster risk management systems, assessment of disaster risk management systems at the national level, assessment of disaster risk management at the district level, assessment of disaster risk management systems at the community level, analyzing and interpreting the data.

Fire Hazards: Fire hazards, fire prevention, heat, plant and equipment, fire safety, portable heaters, electrical safety, arson, oxygen safeguard, fuel safeguards, flammable materials, metal storage for flammable chemicals, containers for flammable liquid, intermediate bulk contain.

Road Accidents:  Road accidents in India, trends in type of injuries caused in road accidents, accidents on account of human factors, accidents on account of vehicular factors, road safety awareness campaigns, road safety marathon, non use of safety devices – helmets and seat belts, urban and rural spread of road accidents, speed breakers, weather conditions, poor lighting, lack of adequate road signs, invalid driving license, violation of traffic rules, ongoing construction works.
