Syllabus
Sketching: Drawing materials and skills, perspective terminology, perspective drawing techniques, creating grids, ellipses and rotations, working with volume, drawing environments, drawing aircraft, drawing wheeled vehicles, sketching styles and mediums.
Principles of Drawing: Introduction, materials and examples of marks, ways of holding the pencil, pencil projects, ways of holding the charcoal, other forms of charcoal, charcoal projects, compresses charcoal projects.
Pencil Drawing: Introduction, handling the pencil, the fundamentals of drawing, drawing landscapes, drawing portraits, drawing animals, drawing for watercolors, handling colored pencils.
Dry and Wet Painting: Objectives, charcoal, material required for madhubani painting, traditional madhubani motifs, traditional methods, traditional warli motif, material required for warli painting.
Glass Painting: Introduction, the history and technology of stained-glass painting, painting techniques applied on stained glass: the reproductions, historical treatises and the dissemination of the technology.
Memory Drawing: Introduction, lines. Shapes, forms, gesture, imagination, rotate, memorization, memory drawing.
