Diploma in Aesthetician

Perform facial electrotherapy

Knowledge of electrotherapy and Object of the Treatment, Knowledge of checking and handling the equipment before and during the procedure, Knowledge of Treatment adaptations according to treatment plan and individual client suitability, Knowledge to carry out Skin sensitivity tests: Tactile test, thermal test, record results, Knowledge of contra-indications that may prevent or restrict treatment, Knowledge of products used with EMS , galvanic , lymphatic drainage unit, hi frequency and micro current, Knowledge of possible effects and contra actions, Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology for skin treatments, Knowledge of principles and practice of skin therapies, Knowledge of basic ailments, Knowledge of applicable legislation relating to the workplace.

Perform micro-Dermabrasion to improve skin condition

Ensure the client is explained about the physical sensation created while the equipment being used, Select the vacuum pressure according to the client skin conditions and required treatment plan, Select a suitable treatment plan based on the result of skin / patch test, Complete the therapy to the satisfaction of the guest in a commercially acceptable time, Clarify the client’s understanding and expectation prior to commencement of treatment, Record the therapy accurately and store information securely in line with the organization’s policies, Record the therapy accurately and store information securely in line with the organization’s policies.

Perform epilation services

Knowledge of the organization’s standards of performance and sequence of services, Knowledge of the range of services and products offered by the organization, Knowledge of the health and safety requirements in the organization, Knowledge of products, Tools ,equipment ,(epilation unit, Needle types size), Knowledge of Factors that influence current intensity, Knowledge of Moisture gradient that affects Galvanic current, Knowledge of Aftercare & Avoidance of activities that cause contra-actions, Knowledge of Causes of hair growth and growth patterns, Knowledge of Endocrine causes of hirsutism and hypertrichosis.

Provide cosmetic Skin Peel treatments

Knowledge of the organization’s standards of performance and sequence of services, Knowledge of the range of services and products offered by the organization, Knowledge of the health and safety requirements in the organization, Knowledge of Treatment adaptations according to treatment plan and individual client suitability, Knowledge to carry out Skin sensitivity tests: Tactile test, thermal test, record results, Circulatory System, functions of blood, arteries, veins, blood composition and circulation and lymphatic system, knowledge of manufacturer’s instructions to prepare , use , manage, Knowledge of the risk factors associated with the delivery of cosmetic skin peel treatments, Knowledge of detailed protocols of cosmetic skin peel treatments, Knowledge of Fitzpatrick skin scale: Matching the treatment to suit skin types, skin conditions.

Cosmetic skin needling treatments

Provide micro pigmentation to enhance facial features

Knowledge of change of colour pigments throughout the treatment and healing process, Knowledge of the application of colour theory to change undesirable colour results after the healing process, Knowledge of the uses and limitations of pigments when mixed and diluted, Knowledge of the principles of colour theory in relation to micro pigmentation treatments, Knowledge of manipulate the skin to ensure effective pigment implantation, Knowledge of the correct angle, speed and pressure when using the hand piece to achieve the required depth of colour and pigment distribution, Knowledge of the contra-actions to micro pigmentation, and to resolve it.
