Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent.
Objective: The objective of the Certified Welding Technician course is to equip learners with theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to perform various welding operations used in manufacturing, construction, automotive, and industrial sectors. The course focuses on different welding methods, safety procedures, interpretation of welding symbols and drawings, and quality assurance practices, preparing individuals for professional roles in welding and metal joining.

How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:
Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.

Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.
Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.
Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Duration- 60 minutes.
No. of Questions- 30. (Multiple Choice Questions).
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.

Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Welding Technology: Basics of welding and its applications, Types of welding processes (ARC, MIG, TIG, Gas), Classification of welds and joints, Welding positions and symbols, Properties of metals and weldability, Safety precautions and use of PPE.
Module 2: Welding Tools, Equipment, and Setup: Hand tools and their uses in welding, Power sources and welding machines, Electrodes and filler materials, Setting up welding equipment, Calibration and maintenance of tools, Pre-weld inspection and preparation.
Module 3: Arc and Gas Welding Techniques: Principles and procedure of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas welding and cutting (oxy-acetylene), Flame types and their applications, Welding joints in different positions (flat, vertical, overhead), Tack welding and root passes, Troubleshooting arc instability and defects.
Module 4: MIG and TIG Welding Methods: Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) setup and technique, Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (GTAW/TIG) setup and technique, Selection of shielding gases, Welding thin and non-ferrous metals, Common MIG/TIG welding defects and corrections, Practical exercises and bead quality control.
Module 5: Weld Quality, Inspection and Testing: Weld defects and causes (porosity, cracks, spatter), Visual and dimensional inspection methods, Destructive testing (bend, tensile, macroetch), Non-destructive testing (DPT, UT, RT), Welding codes and standards (AWS, ISO), Weld documentation and report preparation.
Module 6: Fabrication, Layout, and Finishing: Layout marking and fit-up techniques, Assembly and structural welding practices, Use of jigs and fixtures in welding, Grinding, cleaning, and post-weld finishing, Heat treatment and stress relieving, Final inspection and job completion procedures.
