Objective: The Certificate in Waste Management and Recycling is designed for professionals in environmental services, municipal operations, industries, NGOs, and individuals interested in sustainable practices. Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:

Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Module 1: Introduction to Waste Management: Definition and types of waste (solid, liquid, hazardous), Sources of waste (domestic, industrial, biomedical, e-waste), Importance and scope of waste management, Waste generation trends and data, Environmental and health impacts of poor waste management, Waste management hierarchy (reduce, reuse, recycle), Key stakeholders and their roles, Global and Indian policies on waste management, Legal framework and regulations (SWM Rules, EWM Rules), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and waste.
Module 2: Solid Waste Management: Classification of solid waste (organic, recyclable, inert), Segregation and collection methods, Storage and transportation of solid waste, Mechanical and manual sorting techniques, Composting and vermicomposting, Incineration and RDF methods, Sanitary landfill design and operations, Waste-to-energy technologies, Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) management case studies, Public participation and awareness programs.
Module 3: Hazardous, Biomedical and E-Waste Management: Definition and classification of hazardous waste, Storage, handling and disposal of hazardous waste, Biomedical waste categories and segregation, Treatment and disposal of biomedical waste, E-waste composition and challenges, E-waste dismantling and recycling methods, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), Regulations on hazardous, biomedical and e-waste (India), Safety protocols for workers and handlers, Pollution control and risk mitigation measures.
Module 4: Recycling Techniques and Resource Recovery: Concept of recycling and upcycling, Recycling processes for paper, plastic, glass, and metal, Collection and sorting of recyclables, Informal sector in recycling economy, Plastic waste management and recycling codes, Circular economy and sustainable recycling, Material recovery facilities (MRFs), Challenges in recycling contaminated waste, Innovations in recycling technology, Role of entrepreneurs and startups in recycling.
