Eligibility: 10th (High School) or equivalent is required.
Objective: The primary goal is to provide hands-on expertise in the entire security camera system lifecycle. This includes site assessment and design, selecting appropriate camera technology (analog, , /), cabling, and network configuration for remote access. Students will learn essential monitoring procedures, system troubleshooting, and basic maintenance to guarantee continuous, reliable surveillance operation.
Duration: Three Months.

• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.

Module 1: Introduction to Video Surveillance Systems History and Evolution of CCTV Technology, Purpose and Application of Modern Security Cameras, Core Components of a Complete Surveillance System, Analog vs. IP Camera Systems Overview, Understanding Digital Video Recording (DVR) Functions, Understanding Network Video Recording (NVR) Functions, Basic Principles of Image Capture and Quality, Legal and Ethical Issues in Monitoring, Professionalism and Operator Responsibilities, Security Industry Terminology and Acronyms.
Module 2: Camera and Lens Fundamentals Types of Security Cameras (Dome, Bullet, PTZ, Box), Camera Sensor Technology (CMOS and CCD), Understanding Camera Resolution (TVL, Megapixels, 4K), Lens Types (Fixed, Varifocal, Motorized) and Selection, Calculating Field of View (FoV) and Optimal Angle, Illumination Principles and Lux Levels, Infrared (IR) and Night Vision Technology, Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) and Backlight Compensation (BLC), IP Rating and Environmental Housing Protection, Setting Camera Focus and Iris Control.
Module 3: Installation and Cabling Basics Conducting a Basic Site Survey and Assessment, Essential Tools and Equipment for Installation, Types of Cabling (Coaxial, Cat5e/6) and Their Use, Proper Connector Termination (BNC and RJ45), Power over Ethernet (PoE) Wiring and Standards, Safe Mounting Techniques for Indoor/Outdoor Cameras, Basic Electrical Safety and Grounding, Video Signal Testing and Quality Checks, Cable Management and Concealment, Final System Check and User Handover.
Module 4: DVR/NVR Operation and Configuration Initial Setup and Device Configuration, User Account Creation and Access Levels, Setting Up Recording Schedules (Continuous, Motion-Activated), Configuring Motion Detection and Sensitivity, Remote Viewing Setup on PCs and Mobile Devices, Managing Storage Space and Data Retention, Locating and Exporting Video Evidence, System Health Monitoring and Alerts, Backup Procedures for Critical Data, Troubleshooting Basic Recording and Playback Faults.
Module 5: Monitoring Operations and Control Room Protocol Roles and Duties of a Security Monitor/Operator, Systematic Monitoring and Scanning Techniques, Recognizing Suspicious Behavior and Indicators, Incident Detection, Verification, and Escalation, Effective Communication with Field Personnel, Accurate Log-Keeping and Incident Reporting, Emergency Response Procedures, Maintaining Control Room Discipline and Focus, Ergonomics and Minimizing Operator Fatigue, Adherence to Privacy Laws and Operating Guidelines.
