Course Id: CRA/Q0001.

Eligibility: 10th (High School) or Equivalent.

Objective: The Certified Rigging Artist course aims to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills required to create advanced character rigs for animation in 3D software. The course covers the fundamental principles of rigging including skeletal structures, joint placement, skinning, weight painting, and control rig creation. It emphasizes creating efficient, flexible, and animator-friendly rigs that facilitate natural and complex character movements.

Duration: Three Month.

 How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:

 Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.

 Step 2: Click on the “Enroll Now” button.

 Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.

 Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.

 Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.

 Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.

 Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.

 Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.

 Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Duration- 60 minutes.
No. of Questions- 30. (Multiple Choice Questions).
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.
There is no negative marking in this module.

Module 1: Introduction to Rigging and Tools: Definition and purpose of rigging in animation, Overview of rigging pipelines in production, Introduction to 3D software (Maya/Blender), Interface navigation and essential rigging tools, Object hierarchy and grouping techniques, Basics of transformations (translate, rotate, scale).

Module 2: Joint Systems and Skeleton Creation: Understanding joint structures and naming conventions, Creating skeletons for bipeds and quadrupeds, Joint orientation and rotation order, Using symmetry tools for efficient rigging, Joint placement for deformation accuracy, Skeleton mirroring and cleanup.

Module 3: Skinning and Weight Painting: Skinning types: Smooth vs Rigid bind, Binding geometry to skeletons, Introduction to weight painting tools, Painting and transferring weights, Managing skin influences and deformation, Troubleshooting skinning issues.

Module 4: Controllers and Constraints: Types of controllers and control curves, Setting up parent and point constraints, Orient and aim constraints for rig control, Custom attributes and channel box cleanup, Creating FK (Forward Kinematics) systems, Creating IK (Inverse Kinematics) systems.

Module 5: Advanced Rigging Techniques: IK/FK switching and blending, Spline IK setup for spines and tails, Set driven keys and driven poses, Space switching (World/Local), Using deformers (Clusters, Lattices) for secondary motion, Facial rigging basics with blend shapes and joints.

Module 6: Rig Testing and Optimization: Testing rigs for animation usability, Rig performance optimization tips, Locking and limiting control attributes, Creating and using rig templates, Exporting rigs for animation pipeline, Final rig submission and portfolio preparation.
