Rice Grain: Introduction, equipments and specifications of machineries grain processing, corn processing, paddy processing, cereal-based snack foods, breakfast cereals, packaging of grains and value added products, plant layout and maintenance for grain processing.
Rice Milling Operations: Introduction, the rice grain, chemical composition of milled rice, rice milling, multiple pass rice milling, removing the husk, paddy separation, whitening or polishing process, separation of white rice.
Quality Control in Rice Milling: Introduction, methodology, NRRI varieties: salient features, response of NRRI varieties to biotic stresses, response of NRRI varieties to a biotic stresses, grain quality of NRRI varieties, straw quality of NRRI rice varieties.
