Environment for Co-operatives and Rural Development: Introduction, objectives, meaning and definition of cooperation, principles of cooperation, evolution of cooperatives in India, growth and development of the credit cooperatives, growth and development of the non-credit cooperatives, regional imbalances in the growth and development of cooperatives, assessment and evaluation.

Cooperative Law, Management and Administration: restriction on acquisition of shares in a society, application for registration, evidence of registration, insured co-operative banks, nomination of transference, restriction on mortgaged property, duties of registered society, registrar is responsible for audit, inquiry and inspection.

Non-Credit Cooperatives: Introduction, cooperative credit structure, cooperative marketing societies, consumer cooperatives, special purpose cooperative institutions, cooperatives in public distribution system, cooperative education, research and training, integrated cooperative, development project, cooperative election.

Cooperatives Credit and Banking: Introduction, objectives, importance of agricultural finance, cooperative credit societies and banks, commercial bank, national bank for agriculture and rural development (NABARD).

Cooperative Accounts and Audit Statistics: Audit of co-operative society, books of accounts, areas of audit check, examination of overdue debts, provisions of the act & rules, adherence to co-operative principles.
