Workplace Health and safety Management: Introduction means to control health and safety hazards, evaluation of a safety management system, key functions of a safety management system, hazard management, safety auditing, management safety audit tools.

Hazard Analysis and Risk Management: Introduction, technical details on methodology and data development, GIS based fire hazard and risk analysis, field surveys of fire stations for data collection, development of fire decision support system (FDSS).

Machinery and Equipment Safety:  Risk assessment, identification of hazards, risk estimation and risk assessment, mechanical design, operating and maintenance concept, protection against electric shock, safeguarding work areas shared by human and machines, safety- related indications and alarms.

Fire Safety and Hazardous Materials: Heat transfer, hazards and risk, combustion process, fire service setup, fire – fighting procedures & fire brigade features in buildings, fire protection equipment & systems, fire protection equipment & systems, portable fire extinguishers, extinguishing properties of water, types of fire pumps, water based fire extinguishing system, foam based fire extinguishing systems.
