Course Id: CIH/Q0001.
Eligibility: 10th Grade (high school) or Equivalent.
Duration: Two Month.
Objective: The course aims to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge of hydroponic farming systems and techniques. It covers nutrient solutions, water management, lighting, growing media, plant nutrition, pest and disease control, and crop selection suitable for soil-less cultivation.
How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:
Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.
Step 2: Click on the “Enroll Now” button.
Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.
Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.
Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Duration- 60 minutes.
No. of Questions- 30. (Multiple Choice Questions).
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.

Introduction to Hydroponics: Definition and history of hydroponics, Advantages and disadvantages of hydroponic farming, Comparison between hydroponics and traditional soil farming, Types of hydroponic systems (NFT, DWC, Aeroponics, etc.), Basic plant biology and nutrient needs, Water and energy efficiency in hydroponics, Global trends and success stories, Key terminologies in hydroponics, Common crops grown in hydroponics, Overview of commercial hydroponic farming.
Types of Hydroponic Systems: Nutrient Film Technique (NFT), Deep Water Culture (DWC), Ebb and Flow System, Wick System, Aeroponics, Drip Irrigation System, Vertical Hydroponics, Aquaponics overview, Pros and cons of each system, Selection criteria based on crops and space.
Growing Media and Nutrients: Introduction to growing media (Cocopeat, Rockwool, Perlite, Vermiculite, etc.), Properties and usage of each media, Nutrient solution composition, Macro and micronutrients for plants, Preparation and storage of nutrient solutions, pH and EC management, Nutrient deficiencies and toxicities, Organic vs. synthetic nutrients, Nutrient dosing and automation, Monitoring tools for nutrients.
