Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent is required.
Objective: The objective of the Certificate in Food & Beverage Service course is to provide students with a strong foundation in the principles and practices of food and beverage service within the hospitality industry. It prepares individuals to work in various service settings such as fine dining restaurants, banquets, cafes, bars, and room service operations.
Duration: Three Months.
How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:
Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.
Step 2: Click on the “Enroll Now” button.
Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.
Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.
Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Duration- 60 minutes.
No. of Questions- 30. (Multiple Choice Questions).
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.
There is no negative marking in this module.

Module 1: Introduction to Food & Beverage Service: Overview of the hospitality industry, Scope of food & beverage service, Structure of F&B department, Duties and responsibilities of staff, Essential service principles, Introduction to menus and meal types, Coordination with other departments, Customer service basics, Tools and equipment used, Personal grooming standards.
Module 2: Types and Techniques of Food Service: Styles of food service (French, American, etc.), Table setting and layout, Cover setup for various meals, Tray and trolley handling, Order taking and serving sequence, Clearing techniques, Types of meals and courses, Role-play in service, Guest interaction techniques, Upselling techniques.
Module 3: Beverage Service and Bar Operations: Classification of beverages, Service of non-alcoholic beverages, Introduction to alcoholic beverages, Types of glasses and bar tools, Beverage pairing basics, Responsible alcohol service, Beverage storage, Mocktail and cocktail basics, Coffee and tea service, Beverage order-taking process.
Module 4: Restaurant and Banquet Operations: À la carte and table d’hôte service, Banquet setup procedures, Event planning basics, Room service protocols, Buffet service techniques, Guest table reservation system, Team coordination in service, Handling special requests, Guest feedback and service recovery, Event close-out procedures.
Module 5: Hygiene, Safety, and Sanitation: Personal hygiene of F&B staff, Safe food handling practices, Restaurant cleaning schedules, Equipment sanitation, Waste disposal methods, Health and safety protocols, Fire safety and evacuation, Food storage standards, Kitchen and service area inspection, COVID-19 hygiene guidelines.
