Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent is required.

Objective: The Certificate in First Aid is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to provide immediate assistance in cases of injury, illness, or accidents before professional medical help arrives. The course covers fundamental life-saving techniques such as CPR, wound care, fracture management, bleeding control, and handling burns, shocks, or choking incidents. Students also learn safety precautions, emergency response procedures, and the use of first aid kits.

Duration: Three Months.

 How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:

 Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.

 Step 2: Click on the “Enroll Now” button.

 Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.

 Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.

 Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.

 Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.

 Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.

 Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.

 Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Online Examination Detail:

Duration- 60 minutes.
No. of Questions- 30. (Multiple Choice Questions).
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.
There is no negative marking in this module.

Module 1: Introduction to First Aid – Definition and importance of first aid, Aims and principles of first aid, Legal and ethical considerations, Role and responsibilities of a first aider, Emergency action steps (DRABC), Personal safety and protection, First aid kit essentials, Communication during emergencies, Assessing the casualty, Calling emergency services.

Module 2: Basic Life Support (BLS) – Introduction to CPR, Adult CPR techniques, Child and infant CPR techniques, Recovery position, Choking management (adult and child), Use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Breathing assessment, Rescue breaths and chest compressions, Recognizing cardiac arrest, Practical BLS demonstrations.

Module 3: Wounds and Bleeding Management – Types of wounds (cuts, abrasions, punctures), Controlling external bleeding, Internal bleeding recognition, Nosebleeds management, Dressing and bandaging techniques, Shock recognition and management, Burns and scalds first aid, Amputations and crush injuries, Blisters and minor wounds, Infection prevention and care.

Module 4: Fractures, Sprains & Other Injuries – Recognition of fractures and dislocations, Splinting techniques, Managing sprains and strains, Head and spinal injuries, Chest and abdominal injuries, Eye injuries and foreign objects, Dental emergencies, Hypothermia and heatstroke, Drowning and near-drowning management, Electric shock first aid.

Module 5: Medical Emergencies – Recognizing heart attack and angina, Stroke management, Asthma and breathing difficulties, Diabetic emergencies (hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia), Epileptic seizures and convulsions, Allergic reactions and anaphylaxis, Poisoning and ingestion of harmful substances, Bites and stings management, Food poisoning basics, Practical case scenarios.

Module 6: Professional Practice & Preparedness – First aid in workplace and home, First aid in schools and community, Emergency evacuation procedures, Disaster and mass casualty first aid, Mental health first aid basics, Record keeping and incident reporting, First aid for children and elderly, Safety awareness campaigns, Building confidence as a first aider, Final assessment and practical demonstration.
