Module 1: Fire Service Organization and Management: Role and Responsibilities of a Fire Sub Officer, Fire Service Hierarchy and Command Structure, Principles of Incident Command System (ICS) implementation, Fire Station Management and Administration, Personnel Management and Team Leadership, Discipline and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Budgeting and Resource Allocation in the Fire Service, Public Relations and Community Fire Safety Education, Documentation, Record Keeping and Reporting, Legal Powers and Duties of Fire Officers.

Module 2: Fire Safety Engineering and Building Codes:  Understanding the Fire Triangle and Tetrahedron, Principles of Fire Spread and Smoke Movement, Classification of Buildings based on Occupancy and Fire Resistance, Detailed Study of National Building Codes (NBC) related to Fire Safety, Passive Fire Protection Systems (Fire Walls, Compartmentation, Barriers), Active Fire Protection Systems (Sprinklers, Alarms, Hydrants), Means of Egress and Evacuation Planning, Fire Load Calculation and Compartment Design, Fire Safety Audits and Inspection Procedures, Flame Retardant Materials and Building Finishes.
