Course Id: CFEO/Q0001.
Eligibility: 10+2 or Equivalent.
Objective: The Certified Fire Equipment Operator course is designed to equip participants with the practical skills and technical knowledge required to operate a wide range of firefighting equipment in various emergency scenarios. The course covers operation and maintenance of fire pumps, fire engines, water tenders, hose reels, ladders, foam systems, portable extinguishers, and breathing apparatus.
Duration: Three Month.
How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:
Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.
Step 2: Click on the “Enroll Now” button.
Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.
Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.
Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Duration- 60 minutes.
No. of Questions- 30. (Multiple Choice Questions).
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.

Assessment Modules:
Module 1: Introduction to Firefighting Equipment and Operator Responsibilities: Role and duties of a Fire Equipment Operator in emergency response, Overview of common firefighting equipment and tools, Importance of timely deployment and operational readiness, Coordination with fire team leaders and first responders, Basics of fire behavior and classification (Class A, B, C, D, K), Overview of safety standards and SOPs in equipment operation.
Module 2: Fire Vehicles and Pump Operations: Types of fire apparatus (water tenders, rescue vehicles, foam tenders, aerial platforms), Operation and maintenance of fire pumps (centrifugal and positive displacement), Priming systems and pressure regulation, Water supply management from hydrants, tanks, or natural sources, Foam mixing systems and proportioners, Troubleshooting pump failures during emergency.
Module 3: Hose Handling and Nozzle Operations: Types of hoses (delivery, suction) and their specifications, Hose coupling, rolling, and deployment techniques, Nozzle types and spray patterns (solid stream, fog, combination), Techniques for hose advancement and directional control, Pressure control and water flow optimization, Hose maintenance, cleaning, and inspection.
Module 4: Operation of Portable and Fixed Firefighting Equipment: Extinguishers (CO₂, DCP, foam, water mist) – selection and use, Breathing apparatus (SCBA) usage and safety checks, Operation of fire monitors, fire blankets, and fire beater tools, Handling rescue tools like spreaders, cutters, and lighting systems, Fire hydrant systems and standpipe operation, Equipment deployment in confined spaces and elevated platforms.
Module 5: Equipment Maintenance, Testing, and Readiness: Daily and weekly equipment inspection protocols, Functional checks of pumps, hoses, ladders, and extinguishers, Battery and fuel system checks for vehicles and portable devices, Maintenance of logs, defect reporting, and corrective actions, Calibration and testing of meters and gauges, Inventory control and spare parts management.
Module 6: Safety Procedures, Communication, and Emergency Coordination: Use of PPE and adherence to personal safety practices, Hand signals, radio communication, and call signs in firefighting, Coordination with command center and emergency services, Vehicle maneuvering and positioning at incident sites, Post-incident equipment recovery and decontamination, Case studies of operator-led success and failure in emergency response.
