Course Id: CCSM/Q0101.
Eligibility: 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent is required.
Objective: This course aims to provide learners with in-depth knowledge and skills required for effective management of cold storage facilities. It covers topics such as temperature control, inventory management, handling perishable goods, safety standards, maintenance of refrigeration equipment, and regulatory compliance.
Duration: Three Months.
 How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:
 Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.
 Step 2: Click on the “Enroll Now” button.
 Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.
 Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.
 Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.
 Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
 Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
 Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
 Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.

Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.

Module 1: Introduction to Cold Storage and Refrigeration: Definition and importance of cold storage, Types of cold storage facilities, Role in agriculture, food, and pharma sectors, Basic refrigeration principles and systems, Components of cold storage units, Temperature and humidity control basics, Types of products stored and their requirements, Energy efficiency in cold storage, Cold chain logistics overview, Regulatory standards for cold storage.
Module 2: Storage Techniques and Product Handling: Pre-cooling and preparation before storage, FIFO and FEFO storage techniques, Safe handling of fruits, vegetables, dairy, and meat, Packing materials suitable for cold storage, Shelf-life and product preservation, Loading and unloading procedures, Maintaining product quality and hygiene, Contamination prevention and control, Seasonal and off-season storage planning, Inventory rotation and tracking.
Module 3: Cold Chain Management and Logistics: Cold chain structure and its components, Transportation with temperature control, Role of data logging and monitoring devices, Cold chain planning and execution, Handling breakdowns during transit, Integration of warehouse and transport systems, Documentation and traceability, Coordination with logistics partners, Use of insulated containers and vehicles, Ensuring zero-temperature fluctuation.
