Network Implementation: Introductory material, communication network design, examples of network designs, graph theory for network design, network layer routing and congestion control, design of network topologies.

Network Management and Operation: Network management, network operations centre, network monitoring systems and tools, network management protocol, network flows, fault and problem management, simple network management protocol,

Network Security: Network security overview, physical network, network protocol, DNS protocol, internet control management protocol, goals of network security, block and the data encryption standards, public key encryption and hash functions, secure hash function.
