Advanced Painting Techniques: Prehistoric painting of India, painting of indus valley civilization, ajanta and post ajanta painting, medieval period painting, mughal painting, pahari painting, drawing and painting with dry medium, mural and printing, folk and tribal art.

Color Theory and Its Application in Painting: The traditional Indian concept of painting, systems of measurement and proportion, stances, hand and leg postures, iconography, colours, plaster and brushes.

History of Art and Art Movements: Introduction – a history of art history: the Indian context, the discipline of art history: its multidimensional nature, disquisitions on the paintings of ajanta, questioning art history: locating religious identities.

Landscape and Environmental Painting: Introduction to landscape, hard and soft landscape elements, landscape planning, characteristics and elements of a mughal garden, principles of landscape design, grading basics, importance of grading.
