Certification Name: Adaptive Yoga Facilitator
Course Id: AYF/Q0001.
Eligibility: 10+2 (higher Secondary) or Equivalent.
Objective: the Adaptive Yoga Facilitator course is to equip yoga instructors with specialized knowledge, skills, and techniques to safely and effectively teach yoga to individuals with various special needs. This includes children and adults with physical disabilities, developmental disorders, sensory impairments, cognitive challenges, and emotional or behavioral conditions. The course aims to deepen the instructor’s understanding of adaptive yoga practices, inclusive teaching methods, and the therapeutic benefits of yoga tailored to individual abilities and limitations.
Duration: Three Month.
How to Enroll and Get Certified in Your Chosen Course:
Step 1: Choose the course you wish to get certified in.
Step 2: Click on the “Enroll Now” button.
Step 3: Proceed with the enrollment process.
Step 4: Enter your billing details and continue to course fee payment.
Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway. Pay the course and exam fee using one of the following methods:
Debit/Credit Card, Wallet, Paytm, Net Banking, UPI, or Google Pay.
Step 6: After successful payment, you will receive your study material login ID and password via email within 48 hours of fee payment.
Step 7: Once you complete the course, take the online examination.
Step 8: Upon passing the examination, you will receive:
• A soft copy (scanned) of your certificate via email within 7 days of examination.
• A hard copy (original with official seal and signature) sent to your address within 45 day of declaration of result.
Step 9: After certification, you will be offered job opportunities aligned with your area of interest.
Online Examination Detail:
Duration- 60 minutes.
No. of Questions- 30. (Multiple Choice Questions).
Maximum Marks- 100, Passing Marks- 40%.
There is no negative marking in this module.

Module 1: Introduction to Special Needs Yoga: Understanding Special Needs and Disabilities, History and Philosophy of Yoga for Special Needs, Benefits of Yoga for Special Needs Individuals, Types of Disabilities and Their Challenges, Ethical Considerations and Inclusivity, Role and Responsibilities of a Special Needs Yoga Instructor.
Module 2: Anatomy and Physiology for Special Needs Yoga: Basic Human Anatomy Relevant to Yoga, Understanding Physical Limitations and Adaptations, Nervous System and Its Role in Yoga Practice, Respiratory System and Breathing Techniques, Muscle Function and Movement Patterns, Safety and Injury Prevention.
Module 3: Yoga Techniques and Modifications: Foundational Yoga Poses for Special Needs, Adaptive Yoga Techniques, Use of Props and Assistive Devices, Breathing Exercises (Pranayama) for Special Needs, Guided Relaxation and Meditation Practices, Sequencing and Class Planning for Different Abilities.
Module 4: Teaching Methodologies and Communication: Effective Communication with Special Needs Individuals, Building Trust and Rapport, Classroom Management Strategies, Motivational Techniques and Encouragement, Collaborative Teaching with Therapists and Caregivers, Assessing and Tracking Progress.
Module 5: Psychological and Emotional Aspects: Understanding Behavioral and Emotional Challenges, Mindfulness and Stress Reduction Techniques, Yoga for Improving Focus and Concentration, Enhancing Self-Esteem and Confidence, Coping with Anxiety and Sensory Processing Issues, Creating a Supportive and Positive Environment.
